The Cardiff and Vale Integrated Autism Service (IAS) is a multi-agency specialist autism service with staff from health and local authority. The service has been set up following the provision of funding from The Welsh Government to develop Integrated Autism Services across Wales. The service links closely with other local organisations, and the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) strategy Project Lead for Cardiff and Vale. Our two overarching roles are: To liaise with mainstream services to increase their skills in working with autistic people and To offer diagnostic and support services to autistic people and their carers whose needs would not otherwise be met by other services.
