Carers Support Bristol and South Gloucestershire If you care, we care. We provide support, information and advice to carers of any age living in Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Register for support Help for carers A carer is someone who provides support to family or friends who cannot manage without this help. Anybody from any background and of any age can be a carer and each carer’s experience is unique to their own circumstances. Carers Support offers free support to carers in the Bristol and South Gloucestershire areas. Our vision is to create a better life for carers of all ages where they are recognised, valued and supported in their caring role and empowered to fulfil their own aspirations. About us Advice and support We offer a range of services to help support you in your caring role including helping you get a Carers Assessment and providing support and wellbeing groups. Or get advice on a range of topics including benefits and finance, work and learning, legal and carers rights, taking a break and more. Our support services Advice for carers Help for young carers We offer help and support to children aged 8-18 in South Gloucestershire and 5-18 in Bristol. This includes one-one support, groups, fun activities and short breaks! Young Carers Support Join our Team We’re looking for: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Hours – 37.5 (full time) Salary – £50,000 - £55,000 per annum Closing date – 29th June 2025 @ midnight Interview date – week commencing 14th July 2025 Hospital Carers Liaison Worker Hours – 30 per week/per post (2 x posts available) Salary – £26,140 per annum FTE (£20,832 actual) Closing date – 27th June 2025 @ 12 noon Interview date – 10th July 2025 Young Carers Engagement Worker (Fixed term 12 months) Hours – 15 per week (2 days) Salary – £29,123 per annum FTE (£11,649 actual) Closing date – 30th June 2025 @ 9am Interview date – 10th July 2025 Find out more New Walk and Talk Groups for Carers – With and Without the Person You Care For Two new walking groups offer carers a chance to connect—one just for carers, and one for carers with loved ones living with dementia. 18th June 2025 New Carers Community Café Opens A new Carers Community Café in Fishponds offers a warm welcome, a cuppa, and connection for those who care. 18th June 2025 New Report: Conversations About End-of-Life Care in South Gloucestershire Healthwatch South Gloucestershire's latest report highlights key challenges in end-of-life care, calling for better communication, greater carer support, and more personalised planning to ensure dignity and respect. 10th June 2025 New Campaign Launched to Help Young Adult Carers Access the Support They Deserve We’re proud to be part of the “Who’s looking after you?” campaign, launched during Carers Week to highlight the experiences of young adult carers in Bristol and South Gloucestershire—many of whom care for loved ones without support or recognition.
