Milestones Dyslexia Assessments
To discover if a child or adult has a specific literacy difficulty (dyslexia), a strengths and weaknesses assessment is carried out. The assessment takes between 3 and 4 hours. The Assessment is carried out in a friendly home environment based in the Bromley Area. Seating within the assessment room is provided for parents to ensure the child is relaxed and engaged with the testing process. Following the assessment, Milestones provides a Strengths and Weaknesses Report that will confirm or rule out a diagnosis of Dyslexia. It provides detailed analysis of the child/adult's strengths and weaknesses. For students, it provides recommendations for exam access, adjustments to classroom teaching, programmes of study and study skills advice. For adults, it gives recommendations for employers.
“Highly recommend Milestones. A very relaxed atmosphere, the whole assessment was not at all too much for my 9 year old. He even said how quickly it went! The report is very thorough and easy to understand.”
